Cristiano Ronaldo isn't worth it.
With 807 career goals, there's no arguing that he isn't a specialist. One of the best.
But many teams refuse to hire him. And not just because of the exorbitant salary.
Cristiano can score goals in his sleep. Though as a defender, he's not a team player.
He doesn't run back. He doesn't tackle. He doesn't help in areas the team needs him to help.
The same is true for teams at work.
You can hire the flashy specialist. The guru. The lone ranger.
However, if that person is a net detractor, it’s not worth the investment.
Hiring talented people is a good idea. Hiring someone who can’t work with a team is a distraction and will eventually prove to be ROI-negative.
Teamwork is the minimal viable skill.

“You have to be in it to win it.”
“Never up, never in.” (another sport phrase - sorry)
“The hardest part is showing up.”
The list of cringey sayings is limitless. Most of them are true.
To find a partner, you have to put yourself out there.
To get the dream job, you have to apply.
To find the right house, you have to inspect houses.
You can’t win anything unless you’ve enrolled.
What are you enrolled in?

“Perhaps the craziest stat is still the power of the Internet.
Each min there are:
• 148k Slacks
• 575k Tweets
• 5.7m Google searches
• 694k hours YT streamed”

Question
🚀
What path have you chosen?
Every decision and indecision is intentional and is a vote for who you want to become.
The internet still harbours inexhaustible opportunities to scale your platform and your message to the world.
What will you say?
How often will you say it?
What vote will you cast?
Choose something, then do it relentlessly.
This is Marketing.
